Come with us to marvel at the Mid Century Modern side of Las Vegas! We’re proud to join the Nevada Preservation Foundation in welcoming you to two days of events from bike tours to cocktail parties and home tours where you’ll see the rich architecture and design history of this storied town.
Mid-century Las Vegas saw vibrant residential growth, with Paradise Palms becoming its signature modern enclave. Designed by Palmer & Krisel and built by developers like Irwin Molasky, the neighborhood showcased clean lines, open plans, clerestory windows, and indoor-outdoor living. These homes embodied desert-adapted optimism and shaped the city’s architectural identity. We’re proud to partner with The Nevada Preservation Foundation to present a weekend of mid mod activities!
Our two-day event kicks off Saturday morning with Peddlin’ Through Paradise: A Paradise Palms Bike Tour, a guided tour of the most iconic MidMod neighborhood in Las Vegas. The Paradise Palms neighborhood is a stunning showcase of classic MidCentury Modern architecture featuring designs by architects such as Palmer and Krisel, Hugh Taylor and William Bray that in its hey day attracted a who’s who of celebrities. Meander its winding streets while finding out about its striking homes learn about the designs that lead to the neighborhood’s historic designation and get exclusive entry to a few of the neighborhood’s best backyards for prime views of the famed Las Vegas National Golf Course– famous for being a favorite stomping ground of the Rat Pack and featured in the film Casino. Special thanks to RTC Las Vegas for generously providing bikes and helmets for this event.
In the evening, join us for the Ring-A-Ding Ball: A Black & White Winter Soiree. Wear your vintage cocktail best to mix and mingle to the tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and more from acclaimed vocalist Robbie Howard. Robbie will be accompanied by a live pianist, and the rest of the evening will feature an era-appropriate curated playlist. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a selection of Old Blue Eye’s favorite wines. Bar service also includes a curated lineup of classic highballs and themed beer options, all aligned with the mid-century aesthetic. Then join Atomic Ranch editor Jickie Torres and Olivia White, Las Vegas architectural historian with the Nevada Preservation Foundation, for a lively fireside chat with homeowner Kim Bavington. Together, they’ll explore the rich history, iconic homes, and influential figures who helped shape Las Vegas into the mid-century modern haven it is today.
